2005 Topps Chrome Kevin Garnett Refractor #64 /999 BGS 9 Timberwolves

High-schoolers leaping to the NBA is a thing of the past (for now), after a rule instituted in 2005 requires players to be 19 years old and one year out of high school to join the league. Many players opt to play college basketball for at least one year before becoming eligible for the NBA draft these days (the "one and done" rule).

Before this rule, Kevin Garnett jumped to the pros back in 1995 as the #5 pick to the Timberwolves. He is one of the most accomplished players to come out of high school in NBA history (although Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James would have amazing careers to follow). A Hall of Fame inductee, Garnett has won league MVP, won an NBA championship with the Celtics, and also received Defensive Player of the Year honors during his 21 year career.

This 2005 Topps Chrome Refractor of Garnett is right in the middle of his career, serial numbered #372 out of /999 copies, with a BGS 9 Mint condition grade. Three subs are Gem Mint 9.5, with Centering the lone sub-grade as 8.5.
