Yao Ming was drafted by the Houston Rockets as the first pick in the 2002 NBA draft. Ming is undoubtedly the best -- and most famous -- NBA player to come from China. His career was unfortunately plagued with multiple injuries and ended in 2011 with his retirement. Even so, his collectibility remains high, and the growth of the NBA in China has plenty to do with it.
